CHAIR

Murray Jack

Murray is an independent director and advisor.

Murray is a director of Aurecon Group Pty Ltd and an independent member of the NZ Defence Force Advisory Board. He is a previous Chair of the Financial Markets Authority, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, and Education Payroll Ltd. He was formerly Chief Executive and then Chair of Deloitte New Zealand (2005-2014).

Murray has over 30 years of experience consulting to some of New Zealand’s largest corporates and government agencies and has worked extensively across Asia. He has served on advisory boards and Ministerial committees, co-led the Ministerial Inquiry into Novopay (2013) and the Indepenent Review of the 2018 Census, and has carried out a number of independent reviews for government agencies. He regularly advises on governance and large-scale business transformation programs.

Craig Ellison

Craig is the Interim CEO at Sanford and Chair of Wellington Zoo. He was the past Chief Executive of Ngāi Tahu Holdings and Chair of Ngāi Tahu Seafood, and has previously Chaired the NZ Seafood Standards Council, Poutama Trust, Moana Pacific and Prepared Foods. He has also sat on the boards of Airways New Zealand, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and NIWA.

Melissa Clark-Reynolds ONZM

Melissa is a foresight practitioner and professional director. She has 25 years’ experience as a technology entrepreneur and has been CEO of a number of technology companies. She is a Deputy Chair of Radio NZ and sits on the boards of Atkins Ranch, Jasmax and Beef and Lamb NZ. She was a member of MPI’s Primary Growth Partnership Investment Advisory Panel until January 2018. Her company FutureCentre.nz provides NZ companies with foresight and insight to inform strategy.

Vanessa Stoddart

Vanessa is currently an Independent Director for NZ Refinery and OneFortyOne Plantations Holdings and a member of the Financial Markets Authority.  She previously held governance roles with Heartland Bank, The Warehouse, Paymark, Alliance Group Limited, Tertiary Education Commission, Global Women and Champions for Change.

BOARD MEMBER

Murray Sherwin CNZM

Murray is an economist with over 40 years' experience across a wide range of public policy roles. He was the founding Chair of the NZ Productivity Commission when it was formed in 2011. His previous roles include CEO/Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of NZ and Chief Manager of the Reserve Bank's Banking Supervision, Financial Markets and International Departments. He has experience as an economist at the OECD, member of the Prime Minister's Policy Advisory Group, member of the Board of Executive Directors at the World Bank, and member of the Advisory Board of the New Zealand Debt Management Office.

Ann Sherry AO

Ann is one of Australia's leading business executives with a career that spans Government, Banking and Cruise Tourism. Ann is the Chair of UNICEF Australia, Enero Group, the Port of Townsville and Queensland Airports Limited. She is the Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology and a Nonexecutive Director of National Australia Bank. Beginning her working life as a Radiographer, Ann became First Assistant Secretary of the Office of the Status of Women in Canberra before moving to the banking sector initially in HR roles, then in CEO roles with Westpac NZ, the Bank of Melbourne and most recently with Carnival Australia.

Sir Rob McLeod KNZM

Sir Rob is a tax specialist and the former CEO and Managing Partner of Ernst and Young Oceania. His plethora of former roles include Chairman of the Business Roundtable, membership of the Business Council of Australia and the National Infrastructure Advisory Board, Commissioner of the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission, Chairman of Aotearoa Fisheries Ltd, and Director of Tainui Group Holdings. He was appointed as a member of the Capital Markets Taskforce in 2008 and currently serves as Chairman of the E Tipu E Rea Trust.
